The Bachelor of Business (Hospitality and Tourism Management) has been developed based on industry demand for high quality graduates in both hospitality and tourism. This industry is very dynamic and requires graduates to be innovative and responsive to changes, as well as highly skilled within their area.

Entry Requirements


To gain entry into the Bachelor of Business (Hospitality and Tourism Management) students must meet one of the following entry requirements:

  • Successful completion of Year 12 or equivalent qualification
  • Certificate IV or equivalent qualification
  • Mature age entry (aged 21 years or more) for applicants who can demonstrate an ability to undertake the course through interview.


In addition, all students must be at least 18 years of age at the time of course commencement. International students whose first language is not English are required to have IELTS with a score of at least 6.0 per band
or equivalent.

International students who do not meet the English requirements can undertake an English program, offered at Carrick English Language.

Hospitality students can gain jobs in the following areas, including: Food and Beverage Managers, Front Office Managers, Catering Managers, Sales Directors, Marketing Directors, Management Consultants and many more.

Tourism students can gain jobs in the following areas, including: Tour Guide Managers, Tourism Operators, Travel Agents, Travel Consultants, Agency Managers, Cruise Tourism Coordinators, Cruise Tourism Managers and many more.


Credit Transfer

The Bachelor of Business (Hospitality and Tourism Management) offers a Credit Transfer process to all applicants upon enrolment. Carrick Higher Education provides information and support to enable applicants to gather reliable evidence to support their claim for credit transfer.


COURSE PACKAGING

International students can package English (EAP 1 and/or EAP 2) or any vocational programs with the Bachelor of Business and only pay $1000 deposit towards the Bachelor of Business course.
